If you are suffering from sore heels, feet, ankles or knees, then orthotics maybe the solution to your pain.
Orthotics are insoles that are worn in your shoes to help support the alignment of feet, ankle, knees and hips. Orthotics can be designed to reduce mechanical stresses that cause injuries, pain and dysfunction. They may also be used to redistribute the pressure on your feet while you are standing to improve your general comfort or to reduce the build up of hard skin and calluses. If you are suffering from lower leg and foot pain, foot orthoses may greatly assist you. Foot orthoses that are placed in the shoe can reduce damage and pain, and increase normal foot and leg function. Custom orthotics are manufactured using state-of-the-art 3D foot scanning and direct milling technology. Treatment options are available for those who have foot pain but would prefer not to have orthotics.
LOOKING FOR A TRULY PERSONALISED SOLUTION TO MEET YOUR NEEDS?
Ingrown toenails commonly occur in adults and children and can be caused by incorrect trimming of nails, tight shoes and socks, or trauma such as stubbing your toe. Ingrown toenails are one of the most commonly treated conditions by Podiatrists.
Depending on the severity of the ingrown toenail our Podiatrist at Showgrounds Village Podiatry may trim the nail from the side of the toe to elevate the pressure or perform a minor surgical procedure in our clinic using local anaesthetic.
Fungal toe infections can cause toenails to become discoloured and thickened. They can also cause the toenails to become brittle and crack. If fungal toenail infections are left untreated they will become worse.
Our Podiatrist’s can provide treatment if you are suffering from fungal toenail infections and prevent them from reoccurring or getting worse.
Flat feet refers to a low arch height of the foot. Most flat feet are flexible and a higher arch will be present when the foot is non-weight bearing. When standing, walking and running those with flexible flat feet will notice that their arch height becomes lower and the foot rolls inwards. This movement is called pronation. Pronation is normal and is beneficial during walking and running. However, if the feet are excessively pronated then this may cause injury to your feet and legs.
Heel Spur and Heel Pain are some of the most common problems we treat at Showgrounds Village Podiatry. Heel spurs are a bony hook like growth to the underside of the heel bone, often associated with plantar fasciitis. The spur itself is rarely the cause of the pain but inflammation surrounding the spur is.
HIGH STANDARDS OF CARE. WE ARE NEVER SATISFIED UNLESS YOU ARE.
Seeing a Podiatrist can ensure that you look after and maintain your feet how you should. Many skin & nail conditions can be prevented with regular foot care. At Showgrounds Village Podiatry we can keep your feet looking and feeling good by providing treatment for ingrown toenails, fungal infections, calluses, athletes foot , cracked heels and other skin and nail conditions.
Children’s feet differ from those of adults as they are still developing and not yet fully formed. Development occurs at different rates in all children so as a parent knowing what is normal for your child can be difficult. If you are concerned about the development of your child’s feet at anytime you should contact us. Contact a Podiatrist for an assessment if your child:

- Has abnormally flat appearing feet
- Demonstrates excessively turned inwards feet (pigeon toes) or turn outwards feet
- Waking during the night with leg pain
- Abnormally shaped toes
- Uneven wear on the soles of their shoes
- Limps or walks abnormally
- Walks on their toes
